| Q: |
What
is the mix ratio for Cure-Rot if I don't use the entire package?
|
| A: |
Smaller
batches may be mixed at a ratio of 8 parts Resin (Part A) to
1 part Activator (Part B), by volume. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Can
unused portions of mixed Cure-Rot be saved for future use?
|
| A: |
Unused
mixed portions will solidify. Remove unused portions from
plastic applicator bottle within 15 minutes after mixing. After
15 minutes, reaction of mixed solution may produce enough heat
to melt plastic applicator bottle. |

|
| Q: |
Will
Cure-Rot penetrate wet wood? |
| A: |
Cure-Rot
will not displace water, therefore wet wood cannot be fully
saturated. The area must be dry. |
| |
|
| Q: |
How
deep will Cure-Rot penetrate the wood? |
| A: |
Cure-Rot
will penetrate and saturate wood fibers to a depth of approximately
1/8". If surface rot is deeper than 1/8", drill a series of
staggered holes slanted downward approximately 1/8" to 1/4"
in
diameter and approximately 2" apart. Follow a close overlapping
pattern so that the end grains are exposed. This will provide
a reservoir for complete penetration and saturation.

| Q: |
Can
I use putty with Cure-Rot? |
| A: |
For areas
with extensive rot, Epoxybond™
Household Repair
Epoxy Putty or Epoxybond™
Wood Repair Epoxy Putty is ideal for filling and forming
replacement parts. Equal parts of epoxy putty resin and epoxy
putty hardener are mixed by hand and applied. After putty has
cured, the finished surface can be sanded and painted.
