Masonry unit is a general term for brick and tile. Two main categories used for corrosion resistance construction: those manufactured from clay and those manufactured from carbon Clay masonry units are classified by their rate of absorption as determined by ASTM C279. Fire Clay or Buff

Carbon
	Typical dimensions: Shapes and sizes vary, including straights, wedges and arches Black, slight texture Typical applications: Environments and process vessels exposed to hydrofluoric, fluoride salts, and high concentrations of alkalies
